Meet Jess, the heart behind Kind Candle Co. A middle school teacher and 2023 graduate of the University of Calgary, Jess pours her passion for kindness and connection into everything she does. Living in Rosedale with her partner and their two delightfully crazy dogs, you’ll often find her chasing them down McHugh Bluff or discovering a new local restaurant or brewery.
Whether she’s exploring the mountains with friends or enjoying a quiet moment with a beautifully scented candle, Jess believes in the magic of small acts of kindness. Her love for creating warmth and light through her candles is at the core of Kind Candle Co.—and she can’t wait to share them with you.

When building your box, you can select one scent for yourself and one to gift. Choose from Lilac Rain (fresh, floral, & calming) or Winter’s Warmth (warm, rich, & cozy).
We’re a young company, and customer satisfaction means everything to us. If your candle is faulty, please contact us, and we’ll happily exchange it free of charge.

Our candles are crafted with clean-burning coconut soy wax, phthalate-free fragrance oils, and sustainably sourced cotton wicks.
Coconut soy wax is biodegradable, renewable, and burns cleaner and longer than paraffin wax. It’s kinder to your home and the planet.

Each 7oz candle provides approximately 40-50 hours of burn time, depending on use and care.
Yes, our candles are made with non-toxic ingredients. While safe, we don’t recommend letting curious pets or kids chew on them!
No problem! Sharing is encouraged but not required. Enjoy both candles yourself if that’s what brings you joy!

Proper care extends the life of your candle:<br>1. Trim the wick to 1/8 inch before each use to prevent soot and ash. <br>2. Allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface during the first burn to avoid tunneling. <br>3. Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
Tunneling occurs when a candle burns down the center, leaving wax on the sides. Prevent this by burning the candle long enough for the wax to fully melt across the top during the first use (2-3 hours).
Soot can occur if the wick is too long. Trim the wick to 1/8 inch before relighting and avoid burning your candle in drafty areas.
Use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame or blow it out gently to prevent wax splatter. Never use water to extinguish a candle.
This may be soot caused by an untrimmed wick. Trim the wick before use and ensure proper air circulation.
Reuse or recycle the wax! Melt it in a wax warmer or combine leftovers from multiple candles to create a new one.
